Q-What is an essential oil?
A: Essential Oils are the concentrated essence of trees, herbs, and plants. These natural compounds come from seeds, leaves, stems, bark, roots, flowers and other plant parts depending on which portion of the plant is most beneficial.
Common ways to use essential oils:
- Direct skin application including massages, applying to pressure points, bottom of your feet, compresses, and direct application to area of aliment (Again, we recommend using a carrier oil, most pure essential oils can cause skin irritation because they are so concentrated!)
- Inhalation: Using a diffuser, applying to linen, scarves, or any other method for aromatherapy.
- Indirect application: Essential oils are great for use with other daily activities including soaking in a bath, cleaning around your home, purifying the air in your house through the HVAC filter and so much more! There are thousands of published books and online articles that can give you great ideas for integrating essential oils into your life.
Q- How should I store my Mulberry Pines products?
A: Mulberry Pines products are sold in brown glass bottles which are best for keeping your oils fresh and stable. Store your products in a cool area, out of direct sunlight for best results. When purchasing a Mulberry Pines air freshener make sure to always shake the bottle before use, the different densities of our ingredients will cause natural separation.
Q- Are your oils Pure Therapeutic Grade? How do I know they are high quality?
A: To begin, there is no universally regulated grading system for essential oils. Companies sometimes use this term in marketing to try to show their own personal standard which is not in any way regulated by the FDA or other governing agency. Since the term "therapeutic grade" isn't based on any established standards or regulation, it can be used without regard to the quality of the oil. Mulberry Pines sources our oils from reputable suppliers who take the time to offer certificates of analysis & MSDS sheets for every pure oil showing the breakdown of each oil’s constitutes, origin and handling history. We choose to sell only the best quality oils which we fully trust and that we personally use.
